Dr. Fred Lima is a Prosthodontist with over 25 years of experience, proudly serving patients in Conroe, Texas as the owner of Epic Smiles of Conroe. He specializes in advanced dental solutions—including dental implants, bite correction, cosmetic restorations, TMJ therapy, and full-mouth rehabilitation—blending technology with artistry to create smiles that are not only beautiful, but functionally strong and built to last.
Dr. Lima’s approach is rooted in a powerful philosophy. As a young dental student in Brazil in the 1990s, he discovered A Philosophy of the Practice of Dentistry by the American dentist Dr. L.D. Pankey. In it, Dr. Pankey describes a moment that changed how he viewed his work forever—a realization that dental care affects not just the mouth, but a person’s identity, confidence, and ability to thrive.
That story deeply resonated with Dr. Lima. It guided his values before his career ever began, shaping a vision of dentistry grounded in integrity, listening, and a commitment to doing what’s right for every patient. Years later, that vision led him to the U.S., where he trained at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, completing a rigorous 3-year Prosthodontics Residency and Advanced Implant Training.
At Epic Smiles of Conroe, Dr. Lima brings together the precision of engineering and the artistry of smile design to diagnose and treat complex dental conditions. Many of his patients arrive after years of unresolved dental problems—jaw pain, headaches, bite imbalances, worn or failing dental work.
